WHAT IS CINACALCET ?
- Cinacalcet decreases level of pharathyroid hormone ( PTH ), calcium and phosphorous in the body
- It used to treat hyperparathyroidism
- also used to treat hypercalcemia in people with cancer of parathyroid gland
HOW DOES IT WORK ?
- Parathyroid hormone, which controls the levels of calcium and phosphorus in the body. In a condition called hyperparathyroidism, too much parathyroid hormone gets produced. There is a loss of calcium in the bones, which leads to bone pain, fractures, problems associated with blood and heart vessels, kidney stones, mental illness and sometimes a coma. PScare-30 tablet is a calcimimetic (mimics the action of calcium in the body) medicine, which helps in maintaining the levels of parathyroid hormone and eventually improves the symptoms associated with hyperparathyroidism.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- Take PScare -30 as advised by your physician.
- Swallow PScare -30 with a glass of water
- Do not chew or crush the medicine
- PScare-30 can be taken with or shortly after food. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
